ABOUT THE SHOW
Long fascinated by Serge Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes, for many years Hélène Blackburn searched for a unique way to approach this fertile period of dance history. Over time she developed an interest in the Sacre du printemps and found in its premise certain elements – Spring, the chosen one, the sacrifice – that lent themselves to the creation of a new work for young audiences. Along with the extraordinary performers of Cas Public and the turntablist, musician and composer Martin Tétreault, she experimented with reinventing this masterpiece, extracting its essence, which she now presents to young audiences thirsting for intensity and passion.
